Calafiori can’t show his abilities if he keeps getting injured the way he has been in the last 2-3 years. He is 19 yrs old and has barely played football in 2-3 years because of injuries. I think he is a big talent but I won’t expect great things from him right now, it would be a big improvement if he just plays few games without getting injured.
It’s a shame for him for sure, you can see he has some quality and an excellent physique for his role, I remember in that europa match where he scored a screamer (against young boys?) he had a good game where it didn’t feel like the team was lacking anything on the left wing without Spina but got injured again soon after if I remember correctly he was out for a long time with covid last year, came back for a few matches and got injured again so he truly has had shit luck sadly quite a few of the young players that have come through struggle for fitness, Luca Pellegrini was a similar situation and I’ve heard Bouah & Capradossi also suffered similar fates (never watched those two play though so can’t speak to their talent)
