Wont be easy even if their form has slipped. Gent cut through us at ease.

Still no word on Diawara, we are very thin in midfield. Mancini is suspended as well.

Fonseca might go with the same set up he used against Lazio, but I’m not sure if it will work without Mancini.

About as alive as Zappacosta. Speaking of which, he injured himself about 10 years ago now. Not that it matters a great deal but surely he's nearing some sort of return to training/fitness work at this stage.

Cant say I'm overly confident about this one. Our midweek exertions will make this one a toughie no doubt and as stated, our midfield is struggling. Mancini suspended. Milhouse shit. Pellegrini shit and injured. Diawara only back next week at the earliest. Veretout subbed off against Gent and probably struggling with a niggle/tiredness.

I would say our best bet is to play either Cetin or John Jesus and stick Fazio in at DM. But no doubt we'll have to endure another disgusting Milhouse performance there instead.

Actually I forgot about Villar. Get him in. From the little I've seen, looks like he might have something about him.

Veretout has a bruise and might miss the game. Fonseca might be forced to start Villar.

To think that just 2 years ago the BigSoccer line for giving Moronchi a head was long enough to go though the ecuator 3.5 times...

Now it's Fonseca at the end of the line, the head changes, but the line remains.

    Rumored XI:

    Pau
    Peres - Smalling - Fazio - Spinazzola
    Veretout - Cristante
    Under - Mkhitaryan - Kluivert
    Kalinic

The squad is tired, as mentioned by Fonseca, and Cagliari play physical so this could be a tough matchup...

interested to see Spinazzola back on the left, he was dreadful Thursday evening when he played RB. Also hoping Mkhitaryan builds and establishes his role as thag CAM.

Kalinic, it’s your time. Go get that goal!

One area that we blundered on over the January window. We have 3 players that can fill two positions. With Diawara being out, it's just the two for the time being. I'm not sure Fonseca really fancies Villar either...

Cagliari grow into games with more strong 2nd half performances than 1st but I expect them to be fired up from the off like they normally are when facing bigger sides. Our attacking options of the bench are very light. We're tired from a tough EL game on a heavy pitch. Doesnt bode well overall tbh.

We need the individuals like Under and Kluivert to step up this match because I cant see us keeping Cagliari out. At least Olsen is starting.

Fazio leading them out. No sal here to tell us about it though. Radja ripping Fazio being the captain. Miss his banter
