Only because of all of the injuries. If everyone was healthy our starting 11 is as good and we are deeper.
I'll listen to a captivating book, have a delicious dinner, do some great work and check Livescore to update myself with the last #FonsecaMagic disaster. Life is good. And time is precious. The only downside is that I'm paying 0.67$ per month for an HD streaming service of 40+ channels mostly because they have Serie A in there and I'm losing that vast amount, but it's still better than losing nerves.
When you care about something/someone that makes your life miserable, the key is fiding the right distance. Posting here to disallusion your "building for the future" asses is the perfect one for me. No hard feelings. I want Roma to do good. Or great. But that comes after you do good/great with the non-match stuff, which we are failing to achieve in close to 3 years now.
I don't get your pessimism atm we've played some pretty decent football this season especially considering the state of our injuries. However I do question some of Fonseca's decisions.
My pessimism comes from getting rid of our difference makers, leaders, grinta kind of players and everyone who could save a match when the others are playing bad and replacing them with players with less talent or inability to compensate for inferior qualities by being intimidating instead. It's a weaker squad as a whole, and most importantly - one lacking individuals to lead it.
What's the point of skipping a game because you expect your team to lose? Especially against an arch rival. You'll never experience the surprise victories that are part of the whole thing that makes being a fan special. I also know that I'll probably be miserable in 2 hours. But the feeling a win today would give me is worth taking the risk.
That's a fair point, however I do feel we are now going in the right direction, lots of good young talent and fairly positive about Fonseca
In other words you’re a fair weather fan lol. And you’re not “disillusioning” anyone, no one takes your opinion on this team seriously when you don’t even watch them play. You slag off our coach every week when you have no basis to judge him on. You have the same level of insight as a Man City fan glancing at the Serie A table at this point.
