Does Lorenzo only want to play 10? He used to be a CM and I thought he preferred it. Him playing AM always seemed to me like it was to be able to play all our “expensive” midfielders in the same formation. I don’t think he has a future starting as a 10 unless he improves significantly. Zaniolo’s biggest problem to me isn’t his work rate, but his passing and vision. I’m sure he’ll improve, but he is pretty bad, even for his age. It usually doesn’t matter because he is so dominant physically that it is hard to pressure him, but that could be a reason he hasn’t played as much in the middle. Fonseca might prefer/need someone who can keep the ball moving in that role.
