Like Geoff Cameron? Hmmm, let me see. Cameron has had precisely 4 teams in 14 years as a pro (Houston, Stoke, QPR and Cincinnati), while Mazga has a new one every season. That includes 180 EPL games for Stoke, which is another way of saying that Geoff played more Top 5 games in a single season than Miazga has managed in his entire career. He also immediately acquires if-he's-fit-he-starts status at all his clubs. Miazga, well, doesn't: even in Belgium last season he only started 24 league games. I'm not sure why everyone has fixated on Matt as disruptive in the dressing-room but, even if he is, there's zero in Cameron's record to suggest that. He's pretty, shall we say, "outspoken" in interviews but his record - and that post-final-game video when he left QPR - says that he's popular enough with his team mates. Then again, being a better player tends to do that anyway
Just a tad ding about Geoff being locker room poison. Went from likeable to rumors about him being toxic after the 2017 campaign.
Most of this comes from tension that arose between Cameron and Bruce Arena. Arena basically threw Cameron under the bus when talking about team chemistry and there was all sorts of talk about him being very vocal about lack of playing time. Cameron similarly didn't have great things to say about Arena. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/31/sports/soccer/geoff-cameron-stoke-city.html?smid=tw-share https://www.theringer.com/2018/6/5/...ory-jurgen-klinsmann-sunil-gulati-bruce-arena

Huh, I thought Chelsea were in the US already for preseason friendlies. Edit:...and it turns out they are. These are only the players that didn't make the trip (including Kante and Loftus-Cheek who couldn't travel with the rest of the team due to their vaccination status).
I believe the MLS transfer window closes tomorrow, so if he's going there something needs to come to fruition soon.
Cincinnati is currently first in the allocation order. So they'd have the first shot and anyone else from MLS who wants Miazga would have to make a deal with them.
Please come home to RBNY. We’ve given up bags of goals in the last week. Full circle for Miazga? Would be dope!!
Thanks. So we might have 4-way action, Miazga plus three teams, Chelsea, Cincinnati, and the team of destination (if not Cincinnati).
Yeah if it’s MLS he’s going to. Technically I think the other team would make a deal with Cincinnati for their spot in the allocation order, and then they would deal directly with Chelsea.
I'd say they do. Quickly, They've given up 42 goals in 23 MLS games, 2nd worst in their Conference and joint-2nd worst in the league. Despite that, they're in mid-table. Imagine where they'd be with decent defence.
Sources can confirm reports: FC Cincinnati in talks to sign USMNT center back Matt Miazga from Chelsea. Nothing done yet. Pushing to get it done on deadline day today.Miazga, 27, would go through Allocation Order. Cincy have the top spot, this is why they’ve held that spot. pic.twitter.com/RHjIxEKRWf— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) August 4, 2022
@bshredder is this the reason Brooks has not happened yet. I am just speculating that Cincy was trying to use their #1 spot and we had to wait for this domino to fall?
The Miazga to Cincy has been in the works for about 6 weeks. Brooks has been linked with all sorts of clubs in the meantime.. If someone else wanted to sign Brooks, it would have been worked out. Brooks has been able to sign with any club on a free since January.
