63' 2-0 Stoppage, White stretches out Mead's right calf at circle top box left. Foul on Mead? Scotland free kick, square left.

64' 2-0 Howard(?) passes up right touch for Emslie 1-v-1, Greenwood turns her. Emslie fights centerward across 27m, crosses left instep toward spot -- headed away at box top. Scotland have no height in the box, and only 1-2 targets surrounded, so the quick-cross style can't work for them. England are cleverly using body position to deny any long shot windows.

66' 2-0 Emslie dribbles across midfield circle right, goes 1-v-2 to right corner and holds ball against Scott's weight leaning on her. Scott reaches a foot in and pokes into near touch?

67' 2-0 Little(?) right ck, inswings to 1m 1/6 left, Bardsley punches it leftward along endline and over.

68' 2-0 Emslie dribbles centerward to 24m box left, dumps a pass into box (with no target there). Ball deflects down to 5m mid-right, Little pounces but McManus(?) clears into near touch.

Another wonderful reflex save from Alexander on White from the short distance. One of the best GKs seen at this WC so far!

70' 2-0 England left ck, to 6-top 1/4 right. J.Scott leans back and heads across 6-top to center. White volleys right roundhouse toward 1/3 right, Alexander flies left and double-blocks ball down, Scotland clear.

71' 2-0 England subs in (2 of 3) #20 Karen Carney for #22 Beth Mead.

See the replay just about your post, surprised the flag did not go up the moment the first player touched the ball.

I won't argue with her work rate, but she's most successful running in space. When Greenwood catches her, Emslie doesn't fare so we'll.

Very good action by Scotland (including Emslie's backheel pass): they're playing better and better and they'd probably deserve a goal.

Looks to me she was off balance and got tripped up. One of those unfortunate incidents, but does not look like a dive.

If Evans plays that across with her left, Scotland score easily. Instead she made a weak flick with her right and England broke it up.

Sad how many players, men and women, at this level are still afraid to use their off foot

75' 2-0 Weir(?) runs free down wide left to 30m, outside-in ground pass into Evans' stride to 8m mid-left. Evans flicks right outstep to center for Cuthbert, Houghton gets a backheel deflection goalward , Bardsley dives left and catches.

75' 2-0 Scotland subs in (2 of 3) #14 Chloe Arthur for #15 Sophie Howard.

76' 2-0 Evans lifts a cross from 10m box left just over Cuthbert's head at 10m center. Emslie gathers at 15m box right, chips over left 90.

Yeah, well... It's probably just my own point of view. In any case, it looked very embarrassingly clumsy.

IMHO, Lucy Bronze should have received a yellow card for impeding when she held onto the ball after Emslie's goal while the Scottish players were looking for a quick restart. I hate that kind of reaction.

79' 2-1 Bronze(?) clears upfield -- directly to Evans at circle top box left. Evans counters past J.Scott to arc tangent left, flat diagonal pass to Emslie with 1/2 step lead ahead of Greenwood at 14m mid-right. Emslie rides off the challenge to 6m right post, chips right instep over J.Scott sliding and Bardsley's left hand, into 1/3 right back high.

    This is awesome :)

82' 2-1 England subs in (3 of 3) #19 Georgia Stanway for #10 Francesca Kirby.

Ok, that was the second time this tourney that I've seen players receive goal kicks inside the box.

    Has the rule changed?
