Yup. I'm STOKED about the three points, but we have MAJOR problems that the win wallpapered over. More fodder for the fire JK thread. That said, three points is three points.
It looked bad. I don't expect him to play again in the Cup. He pulled up holding his hamstring in the middle of a full sprint.
Sure it can. We're giving him credit for 2 injury subs? What are you guys smoking? People should be pissed off about the hamstrings.
I give deserved credit here. Although outcoaching Appiah is no major accomplishment: the guy is a neophyte, with even less coaching experience than Jürgen, as I noted long ago.
How many of you, like me, stopped mid-celebration after our second goal because of Brooks' reaction? For a moment I literally thought he heard a whistle.
JK could sub himself in and score and you wouldn't give him credit. He doesn't get credit whee his 2 subs *again* made the difference. Where BB failed. Where Bruce failed. Give JK some credit!
im glad we won, but lets not pretend we played well. Credit to Brooks and those who gutted it out, but our performance was shit.
2 injury subs and an obvious sub in Zusi and we're saying this is deep strategy? That wasn't out coaching my friend. That was plain old luck. I'll take it. But to give credit to JK like this was some master plan? No way in hell. His job was saved when Brooks' header went in.
Jones was quality. Without him we don't win this. Bradley was terrible. Both forwards completely invisible in the second half. We could hold the ball for squat. Cameron played well. Thought Bedoya was good until he ran out of gas. Howard class as always, no chance on the goal. A lucky win, no question about it. But you create your own luck in many cases and Klinsmann created some for us with the second half subs.
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how you play, what matters is that you put more goals past your ********ing opponent.
Bruce failed? 2002 says hello. No credit for JK on this game. Sorry, but no. 2 INJURY subs and Zusi. Who everyone and his brother could see coming. Did you honestly think that the Brooks header was a master class in strategy?
