This was a soccer match, this was a relatively good soccer match. Both teams came to play, to try to win the match with positive football. Glad for that. For Cakir - I don't know that I have any real problems with how he handled this match. It seemed calm, he talked with players and appeared to get the "message" across when he needed to do so. I look for great things from him in the future.
He did a good job. No major incidents and he did a good job of adding time and not cautioning for time wasting. My only quibble is that he doesn't have any presence on the field. In that respect he reminds me if Irmatov. Also, I think the pushing between Ibrahimovic and the Ukrainan player should have resulted in some discussion by the referee and the two players. No cards, but discussion about keeping ones cool.
Well what do you expect he's TINY! Also I think he has as much presence as the players give him, which seems like plenty cause it looks like they respected him.
