I just noticed this. What happened with the dates for games in these notices? Looks like they were off for today’s games as well.

Simple answer. It's just me being stupid.

And then me copying and pasting from old threads and adding one day to the incorrect date.

Good no call at 20', but I dont see the need to be so animated about it.

Sometimes I wonder exactly the thought process is when choosing colors. Teams are black/black and white/red. So naturally the crew is red/black. What, their yellow shirts were dirty and someone didn’t have blue?

Refs don't decide color at pro and international level. They are told what to wear.

Note the color of the Danish 'keeper. That answers half your question.

I suspect the colors are chosen in a manner to get each shirt (both for refs and teams) exposure for sponsorship reasons.

Oh I know. I’m just wondering out loud about the choice.

Oh the non-PK? I kinda liked the demonstrative pre-emption of Mandzukic's penalty shout.

Is the magic foam green, or is that just my tv?

Blue would be too close to the bottom part of the Croatian goalkeeper’s socks.

Speaking of AR mechanics, I notice that AR2 keeps the flag in his right hand when facing the field.

    Gasp! :eek::eek:

Pretty clear that many countries don’t care as much about that.

In a game where nothing is happening, Pitana still has the focus to give that correcty as handball (i.e., not as a foul against DEN) and the presence of mind to be there for a potential flare-up. He's not looking this gift horse in the mouth.

    Edit: Spelling

Pitana is so good. Too bad he couldn't have done a match like URU : POR.

I might have considered that dissent for Denmark. Full temper tantrum.

He's within his rights to brandish a card for it, but I'm okay with him managing it given the temperature of the match and the lack of any obvious gesture from the player that undermines his authority.

Good example, IMO, of something that couldn’t be a classic example of dissent by action that would be very appropriately cautioned at lower levels, but is within acceptable norms at this level.

There are several pros and cons of left or right that have been debated many times. Just depends on the preference
of whoever is in charge in that country. Obviously FIFA accepts either, which IMO is eminently sensible.
BTW, at one time it was optional in MLS on an individual basis, but in England they insist on left hand, so since PRO was
dominated by Englishmen, MLS and US is left hand also.

He also wins in the worst comb-over competition. He should just go the full Collina/Webb.:D
