    This ref won't stop the match until they have four injury minutes of actual play. That's the way it should be.

    Final: Slovakia 3, Italy 2. Arrivederci Italia, the 2006 World Cup champions are history. Why didn’t they play like this from the start?

    Italy is too good to go out like this even with an older squad.

    I expect the Netherlands to have some trouble – and to ultimately eliminate Slovakia.

    Incredible performance by Slovakia. I'm so glad Italy is out, awful roster decisions by Italy and even worse performances by the players. Bye Lippi!

    He was adding time for the sub and the Slovakians lying on the ground, as he should have.

    Well reffed game overall - the Italians will have questions about the line clearance and the offside, but I think that both were the right call.
