Now, France has scored more than they did in 2002. :)

Yeah, that was never going to be called a penalty.

It shows Ray's stupidity that he had Malouda sitting in the 1st half.

France's back line parted like a really bad combover. Still no goal from SA.

If Henry scores then he'll look like a real moron .... and watch Benzema get a hattrick set up by Nasri in their first game under Blanc...

Yeah, all the passing from South Africa is cute, but eventually you either have to go to goal or square it off.

Shots are looking more and more desperate, goals looking less and less likely.

No offense to France, I rooted for you in 98 for a similar reason but I really hope South Africa can hold on for at least a win here.. it would mean so much for them to pull off a win against such a big powerhouse team like France...

Today's 30 for 30 is going to be awesome. It's about the role the Colombian drug cartels played in the the rise and fall of the 1994 Colombian world cup team.

This game has become just very sad and very dull.

After quickly researching the history of the World Cup, hopefully correctly, this will be the first time a host nation will not advance to the 2nd round.

That's what happens when events are decided by the game instead of what makes a good story. FIFA is not corrupt enough to make soccer truly entertaining.

    $140 million to obtain bid
    $1.7 billion to improve communications/transport
$14 billion to build stadiums and sporting complexes

Getting out after three games... priceless.
