Oooh, at 9' the classic question over who the foul is on. Kuipers instinctively goes DFK.

And after OFR it's a penalty.

Very interesting. VAR certainly showed him the best angle to say that was a a clear error. I do wonder if that's one of those cases where it might help (or confuse) Kuipers to look at multiple angles.

Yeah the angle he got made it look a much clearer PK than the other angles where the attacker just manages to get his foot into the path of the leg.

There's definitely a philosophical question here, though it bleeds into the operational. VARs are instructed to find the best or best two conclusive angles to send down to the RRA to prove the clear and obvious error that they have detected. But in situations where one angle is SO much better than the others, is it worth showing a couple others so the referee can make a more informed decision? But by giving more information, you are potentially undermining the argument for the clear error. In the end, it's on the referee to ask for more angles so can't fault van Boekel there.

Ha, commentator saying goalkeeper was "well off" his line when, well, he was almost completely on it.

Commentator says it's supposed to be retaken as it shows his back foot clearly on the line...

Dork that I am, I was excited to see the AR signal goal kick from the intersection of the goal and penalty lines.
