Objectively, you couldn’t score in open play at home against 10 men for more than a half. So there’s that.
Happy enough with that. After 3 games, we’re joint top (2nd on goals scored), scored 6, conceded 1, having faced a big rival for the title. Great defensive display second half overall, despite some curious moments. Sky gave MOTM to Christensen though I’d have given it to Matip. We have no reason to be scared of anyone, and without the penalty incident, this would have been a comfortable win.
Appreciate your formal tone, thanks. ....but buddy, you'd have to expect folks on this thread, especially after the red card, aren't going to want to discuss things (during the match) in the most friendly manner.
The irony of trolls reporting other posts for trolling is not lost on me. The thing about SBL is he doesnt need provocation. The secret is he's always angry, you've won literally zero internet points. Good point. Was a much better game of football before the red OBJECTIVELY speaking.
Coming to another board to reasonably discuss a match isn't trolling though. I didn't call anyone names, didn't disparage anyone, and didn't disparage your club.
And just as the season gets going we have an international break. And another in October and November
I think its a 1 match ban? Anyway I think the club should appeal the sending off in the first place, for me it was 'accidental hand ball'.
That's why he and I get on so welll,,, we're alike in some ways. Someone said that I could be like 'Mad Max', the father of the wolf of wall street guy... Personally I can't see although, tbf, I do have a British accent
I think that's the point, yes. Leave it a day and then comment. If you're not going to do that maybe try and phrase it differently, like, 'It looked like a handball to me but who knows now '. Something like that. Y'know, make a bit of joke out of it.
Also, on the handball, what was it someone said he looked at a still picture rather than a slo-mo of the incident?
I think we were on our way to an easy 3 points until the handball decision. I was fine with the PK decision. The straight red was wrong, which was unfortunate as the packed house at Anfield deserved a game better than the one we were forced to impose. And we did impose it. The game went exactly the way we wanted it because we are the better side. I'm not sure if its similar in the UK, but on the US broadcast, the amount of climaxing every time Virgil Van Dijk does anything is embarrassing. He, and Liverpool in total, are treated as saviours of the game or something. It's hard to take.
Petition to sign https://www.change.org/p/the-footba...ony-bald-taylor-from-refereeing-chelsea-games Taylor was bullied as a child by Chelsea fans allegedly.
Sad to say, the red card was correct. Denial of a goal through a handball offence is a red card - there's no room for discretion for the referee.
But does it make a difference if the handball is deliberate or not? I thought that the rule this year was being changed back to the far more reasonable 'accidental' thing? The fact that it bounced off his thigh should be taken into account surely? Penalty perhaps but sending him off, I'm not so sure.
