And I was hoping to discuss something! I have both matches up and there really is nothing to discuss..... (Did I jinx it enough?)
Props to the Ukrainian guy for not whining about the handling that wasn't anything. Thanks to the TV crew for trying to making a mountain out of a molehill.
I've noticed how little discussion there is in general in therse Euro forums. Games barely have 3 pages compared to Champions league games which have pages and pages. Maybe people don't know where this forum is. Although England often has its own discussion thread.
Somewhat misleading...there are more posts per page with the new layout. Although there probably has been a bit less discussion - a good thing for the tournament? lol
Sure there are more posts per page true. I think one other reason is the Champions League posters are ofren from the Americas and around the world who support European clubs, hence all the posts. There aren't as many actual Europeans on this website for the Euro 2012 games. By the way 1-0 England
Big no goal decision on the England line by the AAR, and counter attack leads to a tactical yellow on the top of the Ukraine penalty area. Haven't seen a replay of the decision yet Edit: Oh dear...saw a replay - that's in I think
Kassai's AR probably just killed him. Thats close enough to give the AAR the benefit of the doubt but the AR completely botched an offside call in the leadup.
Oh dear...offside on the build-up, then the ball was over the line. In this case, two wrongs did make a right.
I guess we have to use Technology...I thought humans would be enough but apparently these referees have never played video games and can't see a damn thing.
Really obvious offside miss on the buildup. I mean I have no idea how the AR missed that call, the England defender is to the left of the dark/light green boundary, and the attacker to the right. Biggest blown offside of the tournament so far, which is almost fortunately mitigated by the miss of the ball being in right after.
My only thought is that the AAR had the same problem I'm having with the replay: - White ball - White socks The blur on the replay makes it impossible for me personally to say 100% for sure goal (but I am English....) and possibly that was the AAR's problem. Edit: Scratch that - just saw the screenshot posted above, its clear.
Two consecutive OS missed and then no goal. Well. Well. Ian Darke giving the benefit of the doubt to the AAR.
Oh stop with this two wrongs make a right thing...this is a refereeing thread and we're analyzing refereeing failures.
