Not at all. I disagree with Aguirre in many things, but he is a world class coach. Despite the areas of disagreement, i would love it if he could stay for another cycle.
I think France is going to win this one, unfortunately. Mexico doesn't match up well against team good in the air.
I beg to differ, I think Mexico usually does very well against big teams - they caused a lot of problems to Argentina in the round of 16 four years ago, beat Italy in the group stage of 2002 etc.
So is Aguirre going to keep Mexico's best player on the bench again today? And I understand it is the 4-3-3 he's using - but why not build a system around your best player instead?
Yep. This is the side of the fence I'm on, too. I expect this will be a fun match, and France will be tested to the limits by the feisty Mexicans.
An israeli downplaying Mexico's chances. Mexico isn't gonna back down and let France win the game. Everybody's mindset in the Mexico NT for today is to win. As long as we get possession and our defenders retreat quickly to defend as soon as they go forward, the match will go smooth for Mexico.
