Impossible considering your previous results against weak teams:

    21 April: Honduras A-B 0-1 Venezuela U23
    19 May: Astoria Walldorf(amateur club) 0-2 Honduras
    23 May: German students NT(amateur) 0-2 Honduras
    27 May: Belarus 2-2 Honduras
    2 June: Azerbaijan 0-0 Honduras

Why is it impossible? Unlikely, but impossible? Come on, its not like Chile are the greatest team of all time. You are good and talented, but young and inexperienced in many areas. I believe we have plenty a chance to win.

If you knew anything about Honduran football is that we historically play at the level of the team we are up against, we have struggled against minnows plenty times, but then we beat a Mexico or a Chile (remember that?). So believe me when I say the performances are misleading. If you saw the Azerbaijan game, the players were half running for most of the game. The game was played a practice speed.

So impossible? no, very tough? yes.

Your NT beat Chile "C", yes I remember that, January 2009, and NONE of those Chilean players will play against Honduras within 2 weeks.

Pinto, Estrada, Millar and Orellana will be on the bench (I hope Orellana play at least 45 minutes against Honduras).

Martínez, Acevedo, Iturra, Figueroa, Fuenzalida, Cereceda, Hernández, Gazale and Meneses are not going to the World Cup.;)

Also, we played with 10 players during 60 minutes (Fuenzalida got a red card in the 1rst half).

We're not the greatest team of all time, but we're way better than Azerbaijan, Belarus, Astoria Walldorf, Venezuela U23 and the german students.

Anyway, good luck in the WC.

Good, we can beat new guys on the 16th. You sure are great at taking on one part of the whole post I made. Why not address my whole post? Makes you wonder...Oh yes, because you were wrong, nothing is impossible if it was there would be no point in playing the game.
If its as impossible as you claim, why would you even watch? you know your going to win. It really just makes you look foolish and/or childish.

Chile need to win this. But not just a 1-0....they have to make a statement. They have to show they are determined and not nervous. Go all out as if playing the bloody world cup final!

    Chile 3-0 Honduras

Alexis Sanchez will score two goals!

Yep: if Chile loses it will not because the team understimated Honduras.

I saw it earlier in the week. He must be good if he gets chosen for the WC coming from such a small country.

Hopefully neither of our teams will remember his name after the game. ;)

I'll be nice and give Honduras a goal, but they have been awful in the games leading up and the last one (vs Romania) solidified they are 3 and out for the tourney.

    4-1 Chile.

Now that David Suazo is out for the Chile match (per ESPN Deportes), I'll grant you this.

What's sad is that a Honduras with a healthy Suazo-Costly up top and a solid goalkeeper (I know, they don't really have one) could have taken points off of Chile or Switzerland. They aren't (weren't) that far away.

Hate to disagree with you but on paper and in practice Chile is far from Honduras, imo...However, it will still be a hard fought game.

Noel Valladares can sometimes be an amazing goalie (He played OUT OF HIS MIND in the final qualification game in San Salvador ) ...but then he can do huge blunders like this :

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyY4ehRyilk"]YouTube- Noel Valladares y Nasralla "Tenemos Portero"[/ame]

(The audio in that is hilarious...the Honduran commentator is looped saying "We have a GOALIE.")
