Could have gone either way. The Italian was holding also. In all, I have no problem with the non-call.
I think he is doing very well. Anyhow, this is a dumb question, but do the AR's rotate from AR1 to AR 2 on each match?
Strange thing I notice. At the half both the AARs and one AR joined Webb at the halfway line. AR1 though instead headed straight to the locker room? Small bladder you suppose? Or maybe the ARRs pick on him too much.
Nothing to do with the officiating, but anyone else think it is laughable for Twellman to say that Balotelli is making the wrong choices etc.? Twellman was a reasonably good player in his day, but nowhere near the level or ability of Balotelli. PH
Well I don't think Twellman was ever a good player. However if Ian Darke said it I would believe him. Otherwise in 20 years time we should require Messi to commentate games and tell everyone what they're doing wrong. Which would be awesome! then he'd talk about Lego's, win a Ballon d'or and giggle.
What is Croatia whining about? The guy checked him with his hip in the back...that's a blatant foul. Did I miss something?
Shame he missed the little dig in the back by the Croatian, but he seemed to be focused on the free kick he had given a millisecond before. All in all, as always Webb managing the game brilliantly.
It's a FIFA instruction that the tunnel side AR heads straight down the tunnel to act as an additional pair of eyes should there be any commotion in the tunnel at half time or full time. It was trialled in the PL but soon got binned.
