Marcus subbed in the 62nd minute Matchtracker: http://sportsresultater.tv2.dk/livestats/index.php?eventFK=656047 Stream: http://atdhe.net/10216/watch-odense-vs-aalborg
He distracted the keeper a bit with his run on Aab's goal, but having said that, it was a pretty bad run. In my opinion, he has to hit the front post more quickly and get in front of his defender. I think he tried to fake out his defender, and move to the back post, it just didn't work so well. Regardless, it ended in a goal: http://watchsocceronline.blogspot.com/2009/11/tracy-plays-30-minutes-in-aabs-draw.html
Since the AaB v FC København match does not have it's own thread... I will just use this thread to tell you that Marcus Tracy was playing his first league game from start this season and has just been replaced in the 73rd minute... after having done an excellent job... and scored the only goal of the game... .
Kobenhavn continues to pressure and Aalborg's defense continues to bend. But Aalborg is still holding on to their lead. 1 minute added time left.
Call-up? Great for him! Hopefully this is the part where Marcus turns it around a la Charlie Davies in Hammarby.
I still haven't seen the goal, but No Short Corners is linking to a post-game interview of Tracy in English, and Marcus says it was a header of a cross from the corner. You might want to look at Ceres's post earlier in this thread a little more closely.
Obviously, a call-up would be premature for one start in a mid-level European league (nothing wrong with the Danish League, just not the BPL), if the game was not being played in Denmark, so who knows. I would note that Tracy is, at first glance, the most similar US player to Davies.
http://geo.dr.dk/findLocation/?id=3...ntion/playWindowsMediaODP.aframe&bitrate=high I found a windows media player stream of the goal. Goal is at 1:25.
Yes, Tracy is three inches talelr and, unlike Davies, apparently a big threat in the air. And I doubt that he has anywhere the finishing ability that Davies does with is feet. I was focusing on speed, which is something that Tracy does have, and we have very little of it in our current forward pool. I guess Cunningham and Findley may be closer in style, but Tracy could provide a speed option. Of course, this is all premature speculation, but we really could use somebody to give us some of what Davies did.
Stream is herky jerky for me. Was it as athletic as his header for WF on ESPN that made the rounds when he signed with AAB?
