Can you imagine the collapse of parliamentary procedures if we replaced every single member of Congress... Imagine everyone at your place of employment lost their jobs and they were all replaced. Only they had to manage three wars, the world's largest economy, and the social mores of 320 million individuals.
Change....sometimes it's painful Edit: and the reality is there wouldn't be a 100% turnover Don't vote for people simply because you recognize them. They count on that. Do your research.
Oh the assumptions....LMAO...I don't even have a masters, nor was I an officer in the military over the course of decades. but keep on with that 'privilege' rhetoric. I have adult kids putting themselves through school, so I appreciate their struggle
Who is running for office at the state level? Do you know their voting history? Do you know where they stand on your priorities?
I'll assume you put privilege in quotes because you don't understand the concept, and really aren't interested in much other than bragging that you have cars and women's rights don't matter to you.
well then, keep on assuming. and I was making...oh hell, why am I even wasting my time. Good luck kiddo
See, here's why this comment is important: I know more than you do, because your next statement is nonsense. There are thousands of people running for state offices. And local offices. I know the people running in my current home, if that's what you mean, but I'm really not sure. As for voting history - most people running in state and local elections don't have a voting record because this is their first election. Or they've held posts like Sheriff where - you may not know this - the individual doesn't have to vote to make decisions. My local priorities are hurricane cleanup, my state priorities are high-speed rail and Medicaid expansion, and none of the people I'm voting for have much control over those priorities right now because Rick Scott and Barack Obama control the funding for those offices. Hope this helps.
If Bernie bro abstention causes us to miss the 2-degree climate mark and starts a recession in the United States...
Awww 'bro?' that's so last summer like that Tiesto tune. Everyone I know did anything but abstain. And I don't know any that feel like they voted against anyone. THey did repudiate the establishment two party system. Hopefully the neo-liberal Dems find their way back to their New Deal roots.
It wasn't abstention from Bernie bros, it was abstention from Rust Belt, blue-collar, moderate white guys. Hillary is loathed beyond words in those circles. This was known in the primaries and was one of the arguments for Bernie. The Hillarybots weren't hearing it though. Though they may have just been looking out for their class interests.
