The British papers are full of stories claiming that ManU and Tottenham are after our Frank. Here we go again, It's probably just a matter of time selling our best players again.

Malcom Glazer had to borrow money to buy the team so how could they have enough money to pay OM what they would want for Ribery

Anigo is making all the right words right now, but we'll have to wait and see.

He'd fit in pretty well in the EPL...But I hope he won't leave.

I'm 100% sure Mr Pink will leave OM after the World Cup. And it's a pity actually, since he's been OM's best player since Drogba.

But anyhow, in a few years time Nasri will be better than him. ;)

Anigo always says one thing and does another.....
Losing Ribery would be crippling, and would merit and empty Velodrome from the supporters. The fans love him, he loves the fans, how could you get rid of this guy. Idiots.

Ribery won't go this winter, but if he has a good WC he'll be in high demand come summer. Whether we like it or not, l'OM has not yet gotten back to the level where they can turn down massive transfer fees. I really hope he sticks around for a good long time, but I'd be surprised if we don't see him at either Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool, or Arsenal come next season.

How do you know for a fact that he will be playing in the WC?

well, he's been better than dhorasoo, and vikash always seems to get the call up so why not?

in any case, man utd has finished all their spring dealings so if ribery moves in the immediate future it won't be to manchester.

ahhh....but see now youre assuming that the players who play the best get the call up. and as we've yet already witnessed there are more important factors:

    1) does the player play in French Ligue 1? (bonus points for yes)
    2) does the player respect authority and never question the coach? (bonus points for yes)
    3) does the player have an astrological chart which favors the position, time of year of the tournament, and is compatible with the other players on the team? (this is the MOST IMPORTANT variable and will render all bonus points null and void if the answer is no)

I don't know that Ribery will be there, but I do know that any coach in his right mind would pick him over Malouda, Dhorasoo, or Rothen. I guess that excludes Domenech, but we'll see. I predict he'll be there.

what's the good of ManU? Does the best French team in history have to give up key player to the best English team?
Nowdays I dont see the advantages of ManU over Mars.
Ribery is still young he does not need to leave Ligue 1 this early. Ligue 1 does not need to be the player provider of EPL, La Liga or Sieres A.

Let Ribery come to Serie A, as Zidane did, if he
wants to really prosper away from France. A
player of his artistry will just get mauled in the
EPL, there is little room for subtlety in England.

Or he could stay in France. The next step up from Marseille at the moment would logically be Lyon.

Unless he goes to Arsenal, where that team's style of play will suit him down to the ground.

I think with Pires on the way out, he would be the ideal replacement and I'm sure Wenger is already thinking about this.

Lyon and Arsenal would be good destinations.

On second thought, if Ribery is a true trequarterista, he'd find little
room at Milan, due to Kaka and Rui Costa, and at Juve he'd need to
bump Nedved from the attacking mid role. Hmm. Inter might make
room for him, but Inter is sort of the blackhole of Italian soccer . . .

How well is Ribery playing now, by the way? I saw him lift up the
French U-21 side over England, that was a great performance.

Ribery is playing very very well at them moment. He had a double this weekend in the French Cup. As far as being a player in the mold of Kaka and Rui Costa, I disagree. This might be biased as I'm a Chelsea fan, but the person he reminds me of most is Joe Cole. He plays really well on the wings but he's at his best when cutting in from the flank and finding through balls or taking shots at pace. For me, he's perfectly suited to playing a wing forward in a 4-3-3.

Disagree with that. Ribery can distribute from midfield and
feed strikers, too. I don't at all see him in the Joe Cole mold.
