Ruud was possibly offside and the ball hit him, not the other way around, but he was in the right place at the right time... he's been nearly invisible and should have scored a wide open header on a Ronaldo cross

Motterman, when Forlan scored 2 thoughts passed through my head, (1) Ian Motter is a genius. (2) I must ask for the Forlan as worst finisher in the world thread to be deleted.
When he hit the second volley 1 thought entered my mind. If we ever delete that post it will be the endo of Forlan's career.

For those of you who cannot see the game. Forlan's first volley came on a cross from Ronaldo IIRC that was deflected by a Ranger, Forlan saw it and smashed it right footed to the far post while swiveling. The second came from a counter attack with Ronaldo screaming down the wing set loose by a great ball, his cross was far post close to the goal line (on first seeing it i was disapointed, but our players in front of goal were marked so it was a good ball after all) it was knocked back by Giggs i believe and Forlan touched it with his left and again swiveled and blasted a right footer, this time off the cross bar, and then it hit ruud in the right spot.

I don't know bout u guys, but those are the best 2 volleys ive seen in one match by the same player...

Ruud has been out of it, nearly invisible all half long. Forlan has been better, more involved but poor control at times while playing 3-4 magnificent flicks first time that you might expect from zi-zou (strange, cant trap, but can flick)
Ronaldo has been pacey, good crosses, good passing.

Keane has really played well, at both ends,

    Phil was solid

Silvestre with some good long balls

Giggs fast as ever, but struggled with control a coupla times... oh well, I'll be back when the game is done...
