    BLUES GO GOAL CRAZY!

City continued their preparations for a return to the Premiership with another emphatic win, proving to be real party poopers as they ran out 7-1 winners in Eric Nixon's testimonial...

The first game I ever saw at Maine Road (of only 2 unfortunately, but it's a major hassle to go over for a game) was against Stockport in April of 98.

Stockport's keeper at the time was Eric Nixon. I think it was the Goat's first game, but I'm not sure. As City cruised to a 4-1 victory, people kept singing 'Eric is a City Fan'. A pleasant memory from an otherwise dark season.
