    There are some great videos analyzing the tactical battle between Carlo and Pep (contrary to common belief, Carlo doesn’t just operate on vibes).

    The first on how Grealish always closed down Dani on every instance prior to the goal. On the sequence to the goal, Grealish was late, and Gvardiol had to step up leaving space behind him for the long ball to Jude.

    The second thing is our defending on corners which City failed to convert on despite having 16 of them. Clearly we did our homework. In the Liverpool game, KDB would raise his right hand. Defense is usually expect an out swinger on a corner from the right for a right footed player. But in the Liverpool game, they pulled off an in swinger with the same play, with Ake setting a pick to create space for Ruben. We packed the 6 yard box on those corners.

    Then there was how theyb started the game with passing the ball at the back trying to get us out to pressure. But we mostly stayed back. So Pep decides to move Akanki into yet midfield, and twice he had one twos with KDB that allowed KDB to get behind Mendy and put in very dangerous chances (one that ended up being that Haaland header against the bar). So Carlo then instructed either of Rodrygo or Vini to drop back and cover Akanji. So Pep instructed KDB and Akanji to switch to the right… and Carlo countered with Jude dropping back (a big part of why he was exhausted by the end of 90).

    All in all great chess match from two brilliant minds and I’m glad we came out on top. Btw a big part of this is the young staff that Carlo has built including his son. They have allowed him to really evolve his methods and you could tell how much he’s changed just in his second sting let alone from his first stint.

    Just to add, Jude was brilliant. Outside of what he did defensively, he did a much better job in the return leg of holding the ball, winning arial duels, and relieving pressure even if it was just temporary. And Camavinga was much better and braver with his passes, at least in the first 60 minutes or so, and it allowed us to keep the ball longer.

    Manu from RM TV on RM pass program said Man City security staff in press box got angry when some Spanish journos started first bumping and light celebrations after penalty shootout win.

    He was surprised because it was the security staff being rude to Spanish press for celebrating when it's usually rival fans who do such ruckus.

    Ancelotti being asked to "defend Real Madrid's style of play" in the QF against Man City. This is comical. Why should he have to defend it when Real Madrid won it fairly? The only ones salty are the Madrid haters and shitpl fans who can't believe Madrid pulled out the W. Ancelotti said as much: no Madridista is sad that Real Madrid are through. These EPL and Pep fangirls need to take a hike. 33 shots and can't get a tiebreaker.

    Great post. I really thought Carlo just operated on Vibes and was a dinosaur when it came to tactics from my time on RMBS.

    Glad that’s not actually the case.

    Haha, unbelievable. Football nowadays seems to be only allowed to be played in a way that allows Pep's teams to run over you! We beat them fair and square, and we've done it twice in three years. We're better, deal with it!

    Much much better than the drivel I’ve happened to watch passed off as analysis of both games so far
    As I’ve read elsewhere, It’s so bad that apparently if you are not playing football Pep’s way but you still manage a win you are automatically considered “lucky” nowadays, it’s Pep’s way or no way when it comes to “good” football now, supposedly

    Also , randomly I heard a commentator say if a team loses a game on penalties they haven’t really lost, it’s a draw, some strange stuff being said out there, so Man City didn’t lose to us .

    Yeah I don't have any issues using it on mobile, and I use chrome. No ads whatsoever, so I'm guessing you're not far off with your conclusion.

    try just using the browser, I use to use Tapatalk but that nolonger works for me but mobile browser works well enough

    I switched to firefox browser with Adguard Adblocker and uBlock Origin add ons enabled and all the nonsense stopped

    So the common conclusion is that:
    - no bueno porn
    - targeted Chinese ecommerce ads
    - visiting sites like biasedreferees.barcelona.es and eliteclub.manchestercity.org
    Are probably not good for my Chrome?
