I am exhausted!!! 3 points is a great result. I will celebrate today, but will worry about the way our midfield was overun. Mpenza was next to useless -- lots of effort but gave the ball away too much. Dunne and Richards were great out of necessity because of our lack of possession. We had several chances to hit the Scum on the break late on but got dispossessed before the killer pass could be made. If we can get a point at Arsenal and another 3 points v. Blackburn, I will be in heaven.

We need a new keeper -- Kasper will get better, but he really could have cost us badly on another day. This post almost sounds negative, which is a measure of how much my expectations have been raised -- we really ought to be a top 8 team, and we are 2 players away from that at the moment.

That guy ate every scum player that came within arms length with the ball. I was very very impressed.

Congrats to Man City and all Citizen supporters!
I'm very happy for you. I know the Manchester Derby
win means the world. Enjoy the win and best of luck this
season. It's great to see the blue side of Manchester get
one up on their Utd neighbors. Obviously, Sven has
brought a new wave of confidence to COMS.

It is official: Chelsea just drew with Liverpool, so we are now top in the table.

I also have to draw attention to fellow Spaniard Fernando Torres who masterfully pushed past Chelsea's Haim before slotting the ball coolly past Cech into the far side for his first goal for Liverpool (and assuring at least a point in the table for his side).

Yes, top of the table and with the only remaining 100% record in the league.
Can't remember the last time City topped the league. Surely not in the 90/00's. Maybe there was some big opening win some season during the 80's that gave us a brief top spot?
Anyway this is not something one is used to following City so let's enjoy it as long as it lasts (hopefully for the rest of the season ;) ).

1-0, we'll take it! I can't believe we BEAT United to hang on for a Perfect 3-0. I'm so stoked to be a city fan after the last few years of highs and lows. I hope this high continues through the season and lets us get to Europe, or get to a Cup FINAL!

Bojinov shouldn't have started, but Elano and Geovanni are quite good when they're on together. There was very little offense early on, so we need to control the ball on the opponents side of the pitch more.

YES!!! Just made it home from the bars, what an indescribeable feeling beating United! Richards and Dunne were absolutely amazing. Obvoiusly we had some possesion problems, but our defence is tremedously solid. We just need the likes of Geovanni, Petrov, Bianchi, Elano and company to keep putting numbers up on the scoreboard. I would never have guessed we would have done so well thus far, I mean winning the derby! The few City fans who were in the bar with me were just as elated. What a relief when that final whistle blew. CITY! CITY! CITY! Points at Arsenal would be nice boys!!

    Are we dreaming?

One more note about the game. Ferdinand should have easily been carded for todding Corluka to the ground. WTF was the ref thinking.

Ha, no thanks for the Badly Drawn Boy, not my style.

Better believe I'm a 'HUUUUUUGE' City Supporter, I'm probably one of the few people in the states with the old Le Coq Eidos City kit that I've been wearing since 2000.
