If things go well tonight then this match should see is do the double over Mersyside. :p

If we can control midfield like we did against West Ham then I predict a 3-0 win. If not it will be much harder.

We're not keeping a clean sheet, that's apparent after today. That said, we still can and should win.

Perhaps we will see the first pairing of the Toon's central defense for next umpteen years. It appears that Steven Taylor is now healthy, and Roeder recently said that he now feels Ramage is best in the middle of the field.

I think we will get a result from this, maybe 2-1 us. Won't be easy though.

2-1 to the Toon. Parker with a double and AJ for the Toffees, if for no other reason than that's the best scoring combination for a Toon win and my fantasy team. :D

Does anyone know the starting lineup and/or if Giuseppe Rossi is in it?

Ameobi scores!!! Off a FK. He was clearly offsides. The Toon just got an amazingly lucky break. Toon 1-0 Everton. :D

OMG We had no less than three players offside on that goal. But the flag stayed down and that's all that matters, right? :D

    ??

    Link??

I'd prefer a radio link like the west ham game if possible. Video is a bandwidth hog (and doesnt really play smoothly if last year was anything to go by)

Totally accidental on the follow-through of a shot, but yeah, the cuts on the guy's knee were pretty nasty-looking. They didn't even bother waiting the four minutes until halftime to see if he could go, Nuno Valente came on right away.

    First half observations:

    - Highly entertaining and quality stuff at both ends.
    - Bramble looks completely lost and it might just be me, but Harper looks a bit listless like Xabi Alonso is still in his head or something.
    - The midfield is incredibly active.
    - Ameobi was all over the place until he got hurt and now Sibierski is all over the place in his stead.

You forgot to mention that Martins is perhaps the fastest person EVER. I couldn't believe he almost got to that ball when he made the poor pass and ended up stepping on Naysmith.

Oh, yes, and Martins played a through-ball to himself.

    Better, Zinn? :p

Second half time. I'll be back to post thoughts after the game ends.

I think we can call it even at half. Shola was certainly off and Cahill should have been off after his studs up from behind go on Craig Moore while on a yellow. Steve Bennet is terrible as usual.

Let's go lads! Bring home the three points.

I think he might be too fast to finish. Will we see Rossi on for Sib before the end of the game?

You Magpies are getting lucky now. Johnson has been wide-open and made the correct run a couple of times in a row now, with the through ball being awful. Everton are eventually going to hit that if the backline doesn't get a clue.
