Maccabi Haifa arrived in Belarus last night ahead of Wednesday's return leg of their Champions League second qualifying round tie against Belshina Bobruisk. The players held a training session at Maccabi Herzliya's practice ground before leaving for the airport, where they took an early flight to Minsk. Goalkeeper Nir Davidovitch was injured during training, but is expected to be fit for the match. Haifa leads 4-0 after the first leg last week. Assuming they advance to the third qualifying round against Austria's Sturm Graz next week, that game will take place in Sofia at either the CSKA ground or the Levski ground. A decision on the venue depends of whether Levski Sofia also advances to the third round. If it does, Haifa will have to move to the CSKA ground, while Levski plays Dynamo Kiev at its own home ground simultaneously. If Levski fails, however, Haifa will have use of their stadium.
