great game by china. its a shame we couldnt field a full team 5 of our best players were playing in the a-league final tonight and another 3 were on the bench for melbourne and adelaide. still taking nothing away from chinese, good win.
Hey EG!!! Long time no see and happy new year!!! Yes I went. I think there were more than 10K at the stadium. The atmosphere was pretty good considering the teams that participated. HKFA must be pleased with the turnout. I was sitting in section 131. During the 2nd half of the first game, I started the "Hong Kong, Clap Clap Clap, Hong Kong, Clap Clap Clap" chant!!!! And the mexican wave was fun!!! Kudos to those who started it in the north end section!!!! Although I wanted to see HK win, they did their best and going out on PK is no shame at all. And of course China won against the very rough and physical Aussies. What a goalazo by Jiang!! I can really see China's hope in this Oly team. All in all I had fun and was satisfied.
