Muriel has been very reliable on penalties for us too in the past. The FK today was like Using an Xbox controller and going nuts with the right joystick / RB buttons. LOL

 

He’s been pretty underrated in terms of his fk ability for a while. Seen him hit some beauties with great movement. We have ALOT of great set piece takers on the squad

Just have not seen it for Colombia. As Crzd would say it does not mean anything until he starts scoring them for Colombia.

 

did he mean to make that shot? That was one crazy ass goal. Like a glitch In a video game how the ball curved and dropped

but yea having multiple players who can shoot a free kick will be great for us.

 

Good News is Muriel is starting.

Bad News is he is starting for Zapata (but not surprising since he has been his 9 replacement the last few months.)

 

Scored a penalty. Almost had another golazo, but hit the post.

 

They all count the same.
(And as I sometimes say it is very important for our players to hit penalties consistently considering our last few tournaments.)

 

Especially seeing Muriel get penalties in brings a smile on my face.

 

Me too.

In fact, I think he should be our main penalty kick taker even if/when James comes back.

He has done pretty well since his absolutely awful miss in Copa America Chile.

Someone is getting Yuca tonight! Would have been nice if Zapata got a goal with him but we can't always get what we want.

Muriel is playing the best season of his career. His shot is amazing.

 

Even the goal keeper couldn't react.

 

Maybe he should be our super sub too? He seems to be very comfortable coming off the bench and changing the pace of the game.

(Nah. We need him and Duvan to start. Only question for me is will James be on the front line with them or someone like Diaz.)

 

Think he may get a goal now that he's subbed in?
