Probably Celta's best player, in the 1st half. Luca's only problem is that he's not a finisher but he's a good player besides that.

Barca ended up winning the game but it was still fun to watch. Very good game for Luca.

No question, if we had a "most improved" award (I'm old school)*, it would go to LDLT.

Benitez is one of the more well travelled coaches around, at the higher level. He should get most of the credit, after Luca himself, of course.

*Edit: I think they're called "comeback" awards these days.

He's done. Second yellow = red. Didn't play that well either. But they lead 1-0 due to an epic own goal.

He played well. He wasn't as good as he was against Barca but he wasn't bad.

5 fouls by Alaves, 0 Yellows. 7 fouls by Celta, 2 Yellows 1 Red. That ref blows.

No, he really didn't. And so far this season (much like last) he's largely been a mediocre performer on a poor La Liga side.

We’re “complaining” about a “mediocre” guy playing and starting in La Liga - arguably - the second best league in the world. Man oh man have times changed in the YA threats. Who would have thunk that at 10 years ago this would be the case? Very few, I bet. Nice “problem” to have if you ask me…

I wonder if we're making 12/13 YsA relegated per season our new standard.

This was a releg six-pointer, probably. Alaves is a yo-yo club.

Also, Celta was at home. And also, no, he didn't play as well as everyone else in his club. Or on the field. See that red color?

    Screenshot_20230928_153727.png

That means he was not good.

I don't think so. He wasn't good before the red, either.

In almost all ratings they dock you because of cards, particularly reds, because in almost all games, cards (particularly reds) are detrimental to your team's success

Thats what I figured. The original posts were apart from the cards he played well which at the end of the day doesn’t matter because he cost his team points

He only got a bad rating because of the red card.

Also, Luca played so well that even though he was on a yellow, Rafa Benitez subbed out 3 other players, instead of him.o_O

No, he wasn't playing well. He played well in previous games, not today. He lost the ball when trying to move it forward and most of his good passes were back passes. He lost possession about eight times, and only managed three good passes forward. It was not a good outing.
