"Loss of NE points gives us playoff spot": I'm not exactly sure what you meant by this statement. But if you mean that the Burn have already qualified for a playoff spot, you're correct. DC United with 23 pts and 5 remaining games can't possibly reach the Burn's 40 pts. And while NE with 25 pts could theoretically reach 40 pts by winning its 5 remaining games and beat the Burn in the head-to-head tiebreaker, the Revs would need to beat Colorado as well to do so. And should Colorado lose to NE, with 36 pts they would need to tie or beat KC in one of their remaining matches to reach 40 pts. And doing so would leave KC with a max possible pt total of 39. Whew! And to think, MLS hasn't even figured this out and still has SJ listed as the only team to qualify for the playoffs.
great still only us and the Gals have made it to all of them. I can really never see us not making the playoffs, but then again we could have another year like '98 or '01.
