    I'll secondt that.

Ekelund is not even listed as a sub, don't know why.

    Quake counters look potent.

Quakes filling spaces beautifully. This team always hustles and always knows where they are going.

Still, this could be one of those games where being the better team ends up counting for squat.

Faria getting on my nerves, losing the ball too often. Can't give it away in the playoffs.

Dayak's a big time player, but with his dicey knee, I really miss Robinson. LA is capable of sucking all game then scoring on a high ball into the box.

Looks like scoreless into halftime. This should play into our hands.

some really good d by the lads tonight on display. if we can utilise the space more we can have some really effective counters. mullan is looking excellent thus far. really good tandem from corrales and mulrooney. if faria and donny boy hook up in the secondl half we can get that crucial goal early in the secon half and bring it back to san jose.

Noel Kenny pretty much on top of this game so far. That's a good thing, given the carnage in the 2 earlier games today.

Man, that's a serious yellow on Bo whacking Donovan. Good chance for Quakes on Free kick.

Faria blows the header. FSW's feed from HDNet misses most of the play off the side of the screen.

Goal LA on ugly blooper in the box, just as I feared.

Quakes must not change their style of play, they have to stay compact. A one goal deficit at home is very manageable.

As I say that, they give up a goal to Ruiz

Quakes still need to play with composure. 2-0 is not the end of the world. Don't throw people out of position and let it get out of hand.

Still, you have to ask what the f4ck we played a 30 game season for. LA could lose next week, fail to win a game on the road all season, and go to the conference finals. Good job MLS...

Walker on. It's worked before... (It's not like Faria going out is a huge loss)

Yallop gets a major thumbs down for this selection. First half the team looked great, DeRo's injury was unfortunate, the team looked good up to his departure.

Major hurdle: Someone getting Frank to realize that Faria does not produce results. He does not hold the ball well and does not have a high points per minute performance. HE is too static and does not impact the game.

Bottom line: stop bringing in Walker in the last minute when the team is down. His versatility and speed threaten the L.A. defense and should be used from minute one.
