Looks like you guys get a W-League team

Saw this link posted in both the W-League and Atlanta Beat forums...

Six new teams will take to the field in 2005 in the W-League with new franchises in Atlanta, Orlando, Vermont, Toronto, San Diego and London, Ontario.

It'll be interesting to see if both the Atlanta and San Diego teams can tap the fan base of their former WUSA teams. I'm not expecting for WUSA size crowds...but maybe several thousand? Or is that shooting too high?

I do not think that a W-League team would be able to generate any more in the way of attendance than the WPSL Sea Lions that have been here since 1988...

Of course, I could see it being a case of the team formerly known as the SDWFC changing leagues because of the way that they got screwed out of the playoffs...
