Can anyone list some examples of Americans who went to play on professional youth teams overseas, retained college eligibility, and are now playing college soccer in the U.S.

Otherwise, some players who are overseas now with the contingency that they can still come back to college if it doesn't work out???

the former - specifically Americans who played on Euro or SA youth teams, and then came back to play D1 college soccer. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Well, here are the ones I know are playing college soccer now off the top of my head, though I can't imagine that any of these are news to you:

    Robbie C'Debaca -- NEC/New Mexico
    Charlie Jacob -- VV Leiden/Columbia
Shawn and Kris Kuykendall -- Top Oss/American
Jon Peterson -- UVS Leiden, VV Leiden/South Florida
    Joe Vide -- 1860 Munich/UVA
    Erik Violante -- PSG/Penn
    Peter Withers -- Unaio Badeirante/OSU
