Didn't see a thread, and this just a day before the match so here we go.

Sakho (injury), Gerrard and Skrtel are still out suspended. Can will be back, though. No news (is good news) about Sturridge who limped off during the FA Cup match against Blackburn Rovers. Johnson and Lovren were not bad against Blackburn Rovers but it still was Blackburn. So, although injuries and injuries are against us, we do have options (and bloody well should after the money we spent in the summer). My main worry is the slowness of our build-up play through midfield, the poor first touch and the indecisive passing in the final third., and the lack of goals which results.

    So have at it.

Now that would be great news. An additional attacking option from the flanks.

Again - an early goal would be nice to get them to stretch a bit...otherwise, I fear we are in for another nail biter with lots of possession, but a lack of finishing touch...time for Sterling to earn his paycheck, or Ibe to show his worth...

    Come on you Reds!

Newcastle are in that zone where they are playing for pride, too far out of European places and far enough above relegation. Perhaps they will be complacent.

I just hope the real Liverpool shows up...

Yeah - that's the one that scores early, presses all over the field, plays tight defense and wins 3-0...right?

No pressure but S'ton won over the weekend and leapfrogged us up to 5th. Anything less than 3pts and we remain at 6th.;)

I'd like to see Ibe start but that's not gonna happen. No more Joe Allen, please!

Ibe is just back in training after two months out and people want to rush him back into the starting lineup? Do we really want him to become like SG in his young days or the 'new' version of Studge? I bet he doesn't make the bench - need to protect the lad.

I think we will see 4 at the back, but I have no idea if Can will be asked to play centrally.

Certainly everyone wants to see him on the pitch. Let's get within 4 of City and put some pressure on them - a solid win before the FA Cup semi final would be good too.

Rogers wins manager of the year if he can figure out how to put those 12 on the pitch at the same time.

A back four and once again Sturridge is out. Should be fun.

We'll probably thrash them just to confound us all further.
