Multiple Spurs players got food poisoning. https://www.skysports.com/football/...hams-lasagne-gate-against-west-ham-remembered
Joel Embiid of the NBA's Philadelphia Seventy Sixers got pretty ********ing sick and missed nine games. Presumably vaccinated, too. Scored 42 on his return in a double-overtime loss.
Wait, this is about coronavirus athletes? I thought we were talking about athletes who got sick. As in, had food poisoning.
There is no evidence that COVID-19 vaccines are related to reported incidents of athletes collapsing, regulators and fact-checkers say Reuters and Snopes independently verified various video clips in which athletes fainted, the fact-checking organizations report. They both found that some of the videos involved people who had been previously diagnosed with COVID-19. In many of the cases, the athlete in question collapsed due to causes such as dehydration and overheating, Reuters and Snopes say. Some of the videos also featured athletes who had not received the COVID-19 vaccines, both report. - FIFA and UK vaccine regulators reported to Reuters that they are not aware of a rise in cardiac arrests among athletes and have received no reports of cases being linked to COVID-19 vaccines - Doctors say that cases of myocarditis, a rare heart condition associated with COVID-19 vaccines, are mild and quickly resolve, Reuters reports World soccer governing body FIFA says it is not aware of a rise in cardiac arrests in players and has received no reports of cases linked to COVID-19 vaccines. This follows viral posts that have linked vaccinations to athletes collapsing with heart issues https://reut.rs/31dUi6M "Reuters presented the posts to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the British regulator for drugs and vaccines, which said there is currently no supporting evidence to back up such claims." – Reuters "Reuters has investigated each clip shown in the two videos relevant to this fact check. There were 64 cases in total and at least 19 were related to reasons separate to COVID-19 vaccines. Within that 19, some individuals had not received a jab, while others were down to other medical conditions such as low blood pressure, heat exhaustion, historical heart issues or COVID-19 infection-induced myocarditis." – Reuters "Others occurred too early in the global vaccine rollout, while one was a death from six years earlier." – Reuters "Some 45 cases were unverifiable for several reasons, such as some of the clips and headlines providing insufficient information to research, coroner reports not yet being completed, or clubs and sporting organisations not yet responding for comments. Nonetheless, Reuters has so far been unable to find any credible suggestions of a link between these specific cases and COVID-19 vaccines." – Reuters
Back in college during the swim season I had ear infections plus swimmers ear in both ears, a sinus infection, and bronchitis.
It’s clear that there is a significant and growing link between intense athletic exercise and sickness I will sit on my couch and drink beer. You can never be too cautious
I don't have any details, but a non-Covid illness recently ripped apart the Penn State men's soccer team. The B1G regular season and tournament champions hosted Hofstra in the NCAA tournament, went down a goal very early, 0-3 at halftime, and the deficit mounted, reaching 0-8 (yes, eight), before PSU scored two late goals for a 2-8 final score. [Bewildered Hofstra fell 4-0 to Pitt in the next round.] Another poster said Indiana had a similar bout with illness this season, though not at such a critical moment.
I have heard of a "Dutch" report that the COVID-19 vaccine is causing footballers worldwide to drop like flies. Anyone else hear this absolute "brilliant" scientific fact? Hey, I am "merely asking questions" here.
Study released this week about college athletes who have covid and were tested for myocarditis. "Thirty-seven of the athletes, or 2.3%, were diagnosed with COVID-19 myocarditis, a percentage on par with the incidence of myocarditis in the general population. However, an alarmingly high proportion of the myocarditis cases were found in athletes with no clinical symptoms." https://scitechdaily.com/covid-19-l...erous-heart-inflammation-in-college-athletes/
