O.k.: So far I've noticed a little arrow w/in a quote that links you to the initial post in question. :D

And the multiquote thing. I'm not sure how it works. It seems to be if you want to address 2+ posters from the same quote.

Rep pops up in a box w/o covering the post. Ooooh!!

    What else is out there??

After I repped someone, a little box popped up on my screen to say if I was "lucky," they may give rep back to me.

    Wow!

(Isn't that what the system shouldn't be about?)

    That is a bit weird.

The multiquote thing is a bit confusing.

And it seems the only way to turn off the feature is to either reply, or go back and "un multi quote" each orange button.

What's difficult about the multiquote thing?

Check the multiquote box on the posts you want to quote all in one post. When you have them all, hit the regular quote button and fill in your responses.

If you check a box and then realize you don't want it checked, just hit it again.

I personally thought -- dare I say... hoped -- that it would be a mechanism to address one poster's points.

Not many times do i want to quote the whole post. To me it gets kind of annoying on other boards when there's like 5/6 posts in one quote box...

Another feature is that if you click the "view post" link on an ignored post, it opens in the same window, rather than a new window.

All in all, these are really nifty features.

    I agree 110%

IMHO, it would be much more useful to have a quote feature that multiquotes an individual post (by putting quote tags in front of and behind each paragraph).

Than address multiple posters using multiquote.

    Multi-Quote
The much-requested multi-quote feature allows users to tag multiple posts that they wish to respond to by clicking a small button on each post. Once the user clicks the reply button, each tagged post is quoted.

To increase usability, by default, only posts within the current thread are automatically quoted. If you wish to quote posts in other threads with multi-quote, you simply need to click a link on the reply page, and the text of those posts will be added without a reload.

    Mark Forums Read with AJAX
If you wish to mark a forum read, you can simply click its status icon on the index page and the change will be processed without a reload. You can even mark individual sub-forums as read in the same way.

Quote Tags Link to Quoted Post
When quoting a post, the ID of the post is automatically included with the

Hey Huss, the Ajax controls act weird in Firefox on Macs. The reputaion control pops out, but when you give rep, it just sits there and doesn't confirm that the rep was sent, even though it seems it was.

I'm not sure if you care to fix this because of the limited saturation of that OS/browser combination, but I just thought you should know.

Forget it. It's working now. And it's taunting me with that message about getting rep in return.

    Damn you, taunting website!

How does that work? Do the reprimanded people get to see their demerit count? Can others? Is this like yellow card point accumulation where I can check whether someone's in danger of sitting out the next flame fest due to point accumulation?

The mods do. The recipient does. Others users do not (we debated this and it didn't make sense to share). But yes, it's basically like point accumulation in league play.

It's always been there, just not enforced. Now it's enforced. There was a bug.

I noticed that there is no longer the feature to check who has viewed one's profile. Me no like. :(

And that's a good thing to keep the general populace unaware of a poster's point status. It would encourage flame wars.
