We would obviously want to pull for the Western Conference team in any East v West game, but this one is key because it impacts that vital last spot for the playoffs. Right now our target is Chicago for 5th spot. If Houston wins tonight, they'll jump from 7th to 4th. Then our recovery becomes more difficult because we would be chasing Columbus (18 points in 12 games)
Nice work 'Caps. Saves me from having to update my chart for another week. Now if we can take care of business in the upcoming home games then things will start to look a lot less grim. We're home for 4 of the next 6 (5 of the next 7 if you count the USOC quarterfinal) and only two of our remaining 23 games are against Western Conference opponents. This is the absolutely critical part of the season.
