1. Finding Neverland 2. The Aviator 3. Closer 4. Million Dollar Baby 5. Sideways 6. Kinsey 7. Vera Drake 8. Ray 9. Collateral 10. Hotel Rwanda Story here. I have to admit, I love the year-end best-of lists, though if Kinsey (one of only two on the list I've seen) is really one of the year's top ten films, it's not an especially good year for movies.
I'll be seeing Sideways, Finding Neverland and Kinsey this week. Ray was quite good and will probably make my Top 10. Collateral was good but I don't know about Top 10 worthy.
Haven't seen all of those, but at least I have heard of all them except "Million Dollar Baby". Going to see Neverland and Closer this weekend, but I fail to see how Eternal Sunshine isn't on there.
They should rename their list the "10 Best American Films released in the Last Two Months of the Year" It's criminal that Before Sunset is not in the top ten.
What about Farenheit 9/11? Team America? The puppet sex scene alone in Team America made me laugh louder than anything in the last five years.
I owe you some rep, both for this and for steering me toward Archer's attempt to claim that the lefties ran Ted Cikowski off the boards. "Before Sunset" was tremendous. I'd also add "The Return." Have you seen this yet?
It's Eastwood's lastest. He directed and wrote the score for it. All I know is it has something to do with boxing. Same here. Unfortunately that's the way almost all Top 10 lists go that mainstream media report on. Yes. Hilarious movie.
