Maloney just limped off, but he's going to continue. Trailing Bayern 1-0.

Heidenheim decline to mark Harry Kane on a corner kick, with predictable results. 2-0.

Lennard starts in his usual spot against Bochum.

Scoreless at half. Maloney's defense has been solid, passing subpar since I turned it on.

Maloney pointlessly sloppy pass near midfield leads to one of Bochum's best chances, very good save bails him out.

Maloney takes an elbow to the face fighting for a header and goes down. Seems fine now. Makes a good clearance on the subsequent play.

Kelindienst steals and lines up a glorious game winning 1 v 1, chips the keeper ... and the goal frame. Still 0-0 in stoppage time.

Ends 0-0. Maloney OK overall, but the passing isn't good enough - 1/7 on long pass attempts, only 56% passing overall, a few notable turnovers under no pressure. A moderate improvement in passing would go a long way to improving his value. Split the points in a relegation six-pointer.

Maloney starts, Heidenheim visiting RB Leipzig, the teams with contrasting formations: H 4-1-4-1 and RBL 4-2-2-2 - Maloney the 1 covering the back 4.

Down 1-0 because of an Openda penalty. Maloney not involved in that play.

And 2-0 now. Poulsen finish at the near post through the keeper's legs after a great run by Raum. Maloney tried to close down Raum after two other defenders had been beaten, but never had any chance to get there unless Raum had dallied.

MALONEY ASSIST! Near post run on a corner kick good flick on, and Gimber reacts well near the back post to finish it. They tighten it up to 2-1 just before the half.

Lennard takes a bad whack in the back of the head competing for a header with Xavi. Back up fairly quickly. This one is getting chippier quickly.

And now Maloney is down again, looked like he twisted his ankle while planting to jump for a header. Could be done.

Lennard came back on, but was noticeably limping and they decided to do a double sub and get him out in the 68th minute.

A shame - he was playing well and I think that was his first Bundesliga point. Hopefully a mild enough sprain that he won't miss time.

Maloney started and still out there as Heidenheim try to gut out a road win against Mainz - 1-0 lead with one shot on goal.

Heidenheim put one in the net for 2-0, but ruled no goal because the guy who had been in an offside position taps it in instead of the guy who wasn't. That'll really hurt if they don't hold on.

Lennard starts vs Freiburg. Seems like a solo 6 to me so far.

Rohl receives a pass up the wing, surprisingly, and Maloney tries to run him down but can't catch before Rohl hits an inch-perfect pass behind the retreating defense to Holer, who finishes from the penalty spot. 1-0. Not really at fault, but Maloney couldn't quite make the great recovery play.

Things you haven't read before - Maloney gets behind the defense on a counterattack, receiving the ball to the right of goal. Excellent desperate defensive touch out for a corner before Lennard can shoot.

Literal fireworks show from the fan club end delays the match early in the second half. Did they think they'd just play on?

Now here's some fireworks. Heidenheim manage a 3 v 3 counter very well, with Kleindienst teeing one up for Dinkci, who finishes from the top of the box. 1-1.
