The last two goals had me like... Huth's ass, and then Kemme (who's having a great game) misses by a huge distance, only to see the same wasted effort deflect straight into an onside Popp's path lol. Are the gods trying to make this suffering continue lol.
Kemme is a beast out there. Islacker though... wasting chances it’s like as you said, the gods are with Germany today and wants Steffi to continue
The DFB has to remain steadfast on their intention to make changes to the women's program. The camera's keep panning to the stands to gauge the DFB leaders emotional reactions to this match, but I'm hoping their minds are already made up. PLEASE... don't let this ONE match deflect views away from the rest of the otherwise underwhelming period for this team.
But you would think that they are clever enough to already see that Steffi’s not taking this team further lol who’s these amateurs in DFB??
Players like Dallmann and Kemme have done some really nice things, with Popp looking the most mobile and alert I've seen her in some time too; but I keep looking at this thinking it's a game that has little to no significance towards everything else happening with this or the French right now.
France had like 2 chances and on both occasions she was caught out of position. She plays like a midfielder who plays centerback for the first time
lmao but she has the qualities to play centerback as well, so it’s too unfortunate that she can’t play the position there for Frankfurt Germany can’t afford to waste anymore time or a spot in the team for Peter who didn’t really do anything today lol
Lol, once all the substitutions started, it brought back all the inspired tactical decisions that will keep this team being nothing but convoluted mess. Yes, Germany won this game by a convincing scoreline, but the DFB HAS to be firm and go through with their threat of overhauling the wnt program.
Steffi: "we nominate after performance in club" lol therefore no Gössling later: "we were not happy with her performances in the national team" lol
but 3 goals were luck 1 deflection going perfect to Popp 1 header from Popp hitting Huth Offsidegoal by Huth this shouldn't be neglected lol
I'm pretty sure who your wasting time arguing with here lol; but neither Hendrich or Peter should be CB's for this, or any currently elite level team. Hendrich's a highly athletic DM/CM, who's a far better 1v1 defender than Peter could dream of being. But Hendrich's also clearly a mid-fielder playing out of position for the wnt now, possessing various positive attributes that don't always work for the best when your meant to be the last line of defense. And when we talk about Peter as a CB, if often from the perspective of her just looking archaic compared to the very best in the world right now, also knowing she won't last must longer should her club, or national team coaches, finally drop her for any period of time that allows somebody else to prove their all round superiority.. cough cough, Wensing.
I agree Hendrich's better at DM/CM but it's refreshing to see her in the back line of Germany where I've witnessed the dreadful Peter and Henning for a whole year lol + Krahn/Bartusiak before there. I agree, she's not flawless but she's been the better centerback the latter games she's played possessing some qualities I like. I've always preferred Demann and Elsig as centerbacks though.
Luck took part in 3 of the 4 goals, but every finish was 100% legit for players finally being in the right positions to actually have a chance of scoring goals. Even me, somebody who wanted to see Neid and her continued legacy immediately escorted from the stadium at the final whistle, the balance of the team was actually good enough to take advantage of the huge amounts of luck that came their way tonight. I really hope the DFB isn't going to allow any of this to cloud their judgement, but it should be noted this is a coach who's managed to dodge the guillotine to the extremes of seeing her struggling team lose to ICELAND AT HOME, before the heads of the DFB even opened their mouths to address people concerns lol.
