Lee Nguyen just twittered the following:

"@LeeNguyen24thx every1 dallas was gr8 now headin to indy w/my girl bout to get serious Arsenal in 2 wks budd YUUAAA!!"

I spoke to friend of Lee's and he confirmed that Lee is going on Trial at Arsenal.

Are there any interwebs reports on this?

Not a trial - it's a workout as part of his contract with the Vietnamese club that has a partnership with Arsenal

Yeah, but it's a trial. Maybe not an official one, but it's something for him.

    Good luck.

Its just a training session. As Herc said it is part of the deal with HAGL. Arsenal and HAGL have a link. At the end of the season Wenger picks some players to come over and train with the reserves. Lee was one of the two picked.

He wouldn't qualify for a work permit in England. I believe this is just one of many stops as he tries to get back to Europe. He doesn't want to stay in Vietnam, so he needs to get started. The training should be good for him. We have a great reserve team.

Semantic really but I think a trial is training with a look to sign and I'm not sure Arsenal is considering Lee as such.

In any event it would be a fantastic experience and certainly cant hurt his chances to get back in Europe.

Even if we wanted to sign him he couldn't play for us for 3 years. He would have to be loaned to Belgium. That is a long time. A lot can happen in 3 years.

I don't think we are looking at him as a player to sign. We are just following the agreement. Wenger did select Lee and the other guy to come but he had to pick someone. Clearly Lee was the best one to pick.

I hope he can land somewhere. I'm interested to see if the HAGL goal scoring has a fluke or not. He just needs to find somewhere to play. Hopefully HAGL gave him some confidence.

What language is this written in? I do not recognize it, yet I can strangely sort of understand it.

His "tweets" are the most annoying of all the folks I follow.

I was under the belief that Indiana University was a very good school as well!

Obviously, Nguyen has no chance at Arsenal, but Wenger is a well-connected manager. If he shows well in training, a recommendation from Arsenal's staff would be valuable in finding a new club.

It wasn't a fluke, it was just Vietnam.

I think Hiddink (sp) thought highly of him and probably would have given him a chance.

Any training time at a good club is a chance to impress, so let's hope Lee does well. He ain't signing no contract at Arsenal, though.

It depends. Are they still trying to sell condos as part of the Emirates deal? I could see Nguyen signing a mortgage contract as a real estate investment.

I have an aunt who has a Doctorate degree in psychology, but somehow manages to text like a 13 year old girl.

Twitter can make just about anyone sound like a 12-year old, but you have to try pretty damn hard to sound that annoying.

I'm a teacher and you wouldn't believe the type of stuff I see in students' notes and messages to each other. It's an entirely different language.

Has he received any interest from any Championship clubs?
For some reason I would love to see him at West Bromwich Albion, who just lost a good midfielder in Borja Valero, and only have Robert Koren and 2 scots to compete with:)
