Connecting a few dots, it appears that the American-born '01 at Godoy Cruz Matias Soria has an American-born '04 brother, Leandro, at the same club.

I'm not finding a ton of info on him but seems worth noting. He may be the guy on the right here:

    Matias has a thread:

The young NYC born forward made his first team debut for Godoy Cruz in Argentina's Primera over the weekend (the final minutes of a 2-0 loss to Talleres)

Born on 10/29/04, he just turned 17

OK.. this is my mistake.. I didn't see that there was a thread on him and I thought I looked. I guess I didn't search the academy section (I thought my search included it). So I made the unforgivable mistake of creating a thread in the main forum.

    My bad @Dave Marino-Nachison @BostonRed @bungadiri @TheFalseNine

I know I am new here.. cut me some slack.

    Feature from @bshredder:

After making his Primera debut, Soria also hopes his progress helps him connect with the country of his birth at another level. While he is still a very young player, is also currently eligible for the 2023 U-20 World Cup. The United States U-20 team is just beginning its current cycle under new manager Mikey Varas and Soria is quick to point out he would be happy to accept a call should the U.S. reach out.

“Yes, the dream is to play for the U.S.,” Soria said. “Obviously it would be a dream come true for me and my family. It would be wonderful to represent my country in the U-20’s.”

Special thanks to Brian for this one. These are the types of players we know nothing about because of the lack of much coverage of Argentine, especially the reserve teams. Getting a good in-depth profile early helps us understand a bit more about his background.

We are usually getting just get info in a drip-drip-drip fashion with random tweets from the clubs (compounded by the fact his brother is at the same club). Happy to have some info early.

Early, but also timely! First-team big-league debut is a perfect time to write a story like this for a player of this age.
