I don't think Gomes was hurt that badly. i think he didn't want to stay on the pitch because he's been so crap.

KBP a bit of flair at the end was nice to see. Great game beat L'pool again. We are really rolling hope Lennon, hudds, and Bent can all get call ups. 4-2 we move on thank god.

seemed a much more confident performance from spurs than two weeks ago. admittedly 'pool didn't start their full line-up, but then again neither did we.

just need to sort out the goalkeeping situation.

Funny all the L'pool fans are making excuses about why they lost. Sour grapes are all over the place, geez. It was a wonderful performance from us in the end and I have to give credit where credit is due and Dawson wore and deserved to be captain tonight. Wonderful performance at the back from him.

Perhaps Gomes' injury will give Cesar a start at the weekend? Would like to see what he can do.

Maybe we're headed for the annual semifinal with l'Arse. But we're due an easier tie next round... Derby?

Nice to see we're through and well done to both Pav and Campbell.

Huddlestone played really well for me tonight.

Probably same as Arsenal last year. Some teams think they are just too big to win trophies.

I'll take a trophy any day. They are all saying it doesn't matter, its a mickey mouse cup. We played reserves as well and won. I guess I don't understand then what clubs do to measure how good they are. If they finish 2nd in the league and don't win a thing is that better then winning a trophy, in my mind no.

Very nice performance by the lads. Gomes needs some serious coaching in terms of dealing with set pieces and our defence looked dodgey in general, but our forwards took their chances well.

Frazier Campbell will sell for over 10 million pounds this summer, and we should pay it. I doubt Utd will sell to us at this point, though.

Good games by Pavy, Lennon, Hudd and Zokora too.

    COYS!

That was in the league, not cup competitions.

Wasn't the 88 game thing in all competitions?

It has already been said, but Gomes wanted off - no question. Harry's comment about the knock after the match was classic... My wife and I were cracking up.

What a great match! Campbell has a gear... The team quickly changed the point of attack to find space, many good one touch movements to get people thru... 2nd half was not quite as convincing as the 1st, but they still were able to hold it together and that is all that matters. I am sure Harry will get things sorted on the set pieces.

Good to hear that Prince got a number. I didnt know that Ramos had done that - strange.

I liked that Huddlestone was looking to shoot. A few times he even smiled at the optimism of his efforts, but shows he has confidence.

I really like Lennon, and he has scored some BIG goals, but is he ever get his crosses under control? Great run, great pace, great effort, poor cross... Repeat.

Revenge? I think not! Humiliation maybe. ;)

I rather like this telling of the story.
