They opened a new Target store in Wheaton on Sunday. Roy Lassiter was there signing autographs. I gathered up a few unsigned cards I had from his previous stint with United and went down there. I was right. He did not have a printed player card. He was signing postcard-sized cards that were white with the DC United logo on them. So, I had him sign a few cards and an old poster I had and a couple of tickets. When I demanded to go to the signing, I was asked why it was so important to go Sunday when it was only two weeks until Meet the Team Day. "I don't know if he's going to last with the team until Meet the Team Day," I said. Here is another thought. How many of the players at Meet the Team Day are going to have a card to sign? I think we've made some roster moves that might mean some people might not have cards (Lassiter, Villegas, Quintanilla, to name a few).
What does he put on the application where it asks "Have you ever been convicted of a crime?" Do illegal car loans apply?
I just think it's funny....... Lassiter.......Target...... Did you get a ball and sit in front of the store and see if he could hit the Target? He can't in a game.

He had a little portable goal (the half circle kind) set up and there was a DC United logo ball there. I didn't see him score any goals, but he mostly sat there signing and stood up to take pictures. I did not witness him completing any employment applications.
Another thought: which team is it in the A-League that has the Target logo on their ass? Is it Richmond? Maybe it was a goodwill gesture to try to get signed by Richmond if he gets cut. Do you think he could beat out their strikers for some PT?
Is it true that the automatic doors open for him when he arrives, but he has a lot of difficulty getting himself through?
