It didnt look "special" because Donovan made it look easy.

He made a great run with his extreme pace, collected a header out of the air with his chest, brought it down and pinged it low at full stride. Classy stuff...clinical.

 

Which one? I'm wearing the long-sleave Donovan 9 Everton jersey today at work. Luckily it's lunchtime now, so I can watch this game without impunity.

Finally the Iraqgoals is back after 5ish minutes gone.

 

Was it a flick on from a long ball? LD had made lots of those runs in the prior matches. One thing I never really noticed about him before is how early he runs in the box in anticipation of a flick or rebound.

frustrating. i've seen exactly one minute of action. of course, it was the one minute LD scored so I'm thrilled about that, but still. they're getting much better at shutting down all the streams than before.

 

anybody else see the shot get deflected? looked as if he was going far post and it got deflected near post on the last replay they showed.

 

I just have trouble believing that BigSoccer is responsible for getting an IraqGoals stream shut down when the frikking link is sitting there emblazoned on that site's front page.
