According to Saturday's Sports Page, Landon Donavon is on the cover of the SF Chronicle Magazine section of Sunday's paper. It's is definitely a "cool" picture of Landon.

You sure they're not using the gay photos from the NYTimes?

For some reason that is one of the most hilarious pictures in the world. Me and one of my friends laugh at that picture almost as much as we laugh at our "Blue is the new red is the new yellow is the new blue" thing...mwahahahahahaha...

    Casbah

The article is very good and gives great exposure to Landon and the Quakes. Hopefully, more people will notice.

My favorite part is C.W. Nevius' description of the Casbah.

"Hear that faint rumble in the distance? Those are drumbeats coming from the north end zone of Spartan Stadium in San Jose. There, a tiny colony of would-be Brazilian-style soccer fans is taking root. They attend San Jose Earthquake games wearing $85 blue and white team jerseys and trendy Euro soccer scarves. And at least once a game the chant goes up in time with the drumming -- LAN-DUN Don-O-van (thump, thump, thump)."

Maybe we'll see some more people come out so they can be "trendy".

Anyway, it's a good read. Pick it up if you can.

Here's the e-article from sfgate.com. However, I'm going along with blacktide and say pick it up for the cover, along with a couple of pictures.

    More fans, more chicks!

The article is worth a couple of bucks.

    Cheers!

Nap, thanks for posting these again. I told my gay business partner about them and she didn't quite believe me. This will be the evidence I was seeking.

    Because you demanded it...

and as a bonus, we're including the skinny Barry White, who probably had a bit too much water to drink beforehand...

Just do well and this gets forgotten by the wayside...

but then it goes on without saying that Landon has his picture on almost every magazine cover around post World Cup...

too bad sfgate didn't publish the picture--it should have been included in all this (unless someone was able to find it there...)

Find the last pic on your own... :D

    Cheers!

It was in the New York Times Sunday Magazine May 26 edition--just in time for the pre-World Cup hoopla.

The Chronicle caught on and made Landon the cover boy for its Sunday edition last weekend--and those pics should have been published.
