Lancos was subbed into the game in the 89th minute for the Kaiserslautern Amature team's first game back from the winter break. This is his first professional game. http://www.fck.de/aktuell/news/amateure/2006/02/koblenz_sb_190206.php Result was a 1-1 tie against the #2 team in the Regionalle Sud (3rd Division).
Getting into his first game only a couple weeks after signing with your first professional team at the age of 21 is nothing to sneeze at. Congrats to him.
Lancos started for the first time in only his second game as a Red Devil. He was subbed out in the 72nd minute of a 2-0 loss to Augsburg, the number two team in the league. Lancos also received a yellow card. Kaiserslautern II (Amatures) remains in 14th place, two points above the relegation zone. http://www.kicker.de/content/spielp...ag=21&spielpaarung=724469&turnier=&bvc_atab=4
I am looking for a match report, but have not found one yet. I do know that the starting keeper, who is the starter for the U-20 team and is a future National Team player, had to go with the first team since the back up keeper is out with a leg injury and the games were on the same day. Last week he was able to do both since they were on different days and he rode the pine for the 1st team. But now both keepers are injured so he may stay with the first team. I do not know if not having the regular keeper resulted in the goals or if Lancos' yellow card caused or prevented one either. Once I find the report I will post it.
No mention of Lancos in report, other than the yellow card. Apparently, the first goal was a blown call. http://www.fck.de/aktuell/news/amateure/2006/02/augsburg_sb_260206.php
In conjuction with Poland v US friendly on Weds, the Polish National Team played the Kaiserslautern II Amatures. The result was 1-3 Poland and I am assuming Lancos played at least a half. I am looking for a match report that is a little more detail than the one on the Kaiserslautern site.
Just in case anyone was waiting on baited breathe for Lancos results, the past two weeks worth of games in the Regionalliga Süd and Nord have been postponed.
Chris Lancos was at YA's pre-match party in Kaiserslautern before the Poland match and stayed all night. A dude.
That is great for him. Maybe if Ktown go down (knock on wood) he will get some significant PT next season. Disclaimer, I dont want Ktown to go down, I am just saying.
Good article. I asked the author to post it here, but he has not yet. So here you go: http://www.yanks-abroad.com/content.php?mode=yax&id=001635
Good article. It made me wonder a few things that I'm too lazy to look up and usually someone here knows off the top of their head. How old is he? Whose (famous USMNT players - Donovan, Adu, etc) class was he in at Braderton? Is he a real prospect for the full men's team, as the article made it sound like Germans had this in mind when they signed him? Thanks in advance. Scumby
Lancos is an 84 and was at Bradenton with Johnson, Quaranta, Marshall, etc... He was in the U20 pool under Rongen for the group that played at the 03 WYC in the UAE but did not make the team that played in the WYC.
Lancos started in a 1-0 win at home against 1860 Munich II. He was subbed out in the 88th minute. http://www.kicker.de/content/spielp...ag=24&spielpaarung=724499&turnier=&bvc_atab=4 Next game is against VfB Stuttgart II on Sunday the 26th. The two makeup games are scheduled for May 5 and 10.
Lancos played the full game in Kaiserslautern II's 1-0 win over Karlsruher II. This movers them up 3 places to 12 and 1 point clear of the relegation zone.
2-1 loss to Darmstadt. Lancos was subbed out in the 76th minute. He did receive a yellow card, which may or may not have contributed to one of Darmstadt's goals. I cannot tell from the Kicker write-up. http://www.kicker.de/content/spielp...ag=27&spielpaarung=724523&turnier=&bvc_atab=4
Lancos started, but was subbed out at the 78th minute in a 2-1 loss to fellow relegation candidate Trier. This slides Kaiserslautern II into the relegation zone.
http://www.kicker.de/content/news/a...iga=1&saison=2005/06&spieltag=31&gruppe=23053 2-0 win for Kaiserslautern II. This puts them in 13th place and 1 point above the relegation zone. Lancos did not play.
Kaiserslautern II played in two games this past week. Lancos did not play in a 4-1 drubbing by Wehen, but was entered in the 68th minute in a 1-1 tie with Bayreuth. Kaiserslautern II scored a late goal to stay one point above the relegation zone. There a multiple game weeks remaining to make up for snowed out games.
Lancos entered the game inthe 78th minute after VfR Aalen scored to tie up the game 1-1. The much needed point puts Kaiserslautern II 1 point above the relegation zone. They play a mid-week game against cellar dwellers Eschborn.
