How many SI's do the G's currently have? How many SI's are allowed? (Remember, Cien has his green card and Simon has his paper work in for his)

Still, the rumor was going around that Chacon was only on an MLS contract til the end of this season which is why so many teams passed on him in the draft..guess it wouldn't make any difference.

So what do we do, we don't have the depth to become dominant and sigi does not have the eye for young talent that other coaches do. We dont have the cap money to get a SI to help. WE ARE STUCK. So we have to live with the mediocraty of mullan, frye, albright, weibel, ochoa, and the rest. Are we DC U waiting to happen and can we as fans prevent it by asking for sigis head?

Sigi's head? Did you forget that Sigi brought in Carlos Ruiz? That Sigi went out and got Lalas. That Sigi drafted Vagenas, Victorine, Califf, off the Olympic team? And don't forget his sneaking Glinton out from under Bob Bradley's nose.

Yeah, Bardales, Moreno and Bengard haven't shown much. But - you win some, you lose some. Sigi has been right more often than wrong. And part of this is still the mess the League created for GaLAxy when it foisted El Matador on the team.

I may be the only one, but I still think Ochoa is a diamond in the rough and could yet be an important part of the LAG midfield.

BTW: Its NOT a salary cap problem - there is still money in the till as a result of the league selling Vanney out from under us.

Lets see if the Korean defender pans out. Sigi has the team in the running. Maybe you would rather put your fate in the hands of Thomas Rongen?

    This is a joke, right?

Take the time to look through the MLS rosters and you'll see that UCLA - under Sigi Schmid - has by far and away the most ex-college players in MLS.

that does not mean that they are pro quality player, Frye is not pro Quality, Albright, Ochoa, Moreno, aaren't either. Mullan, Bengard, Wiebel, nope, i would say the only sub players who we have that are quality enough to play pro are vagenas, glinton, reis. Victorine is on the buble. So 3 decent reserves are not good enough on an 18 man roster and 1 is a goalie.

I just got around to watching this game tonight (TiVo)...

Usually the Galaxy is the one that pulls an OT win out of its ass, but guess it wasn't to be. Tough loss, but the better team did prevail.
