CD101.1 - right now. Not much in the interview. He was supposed to be in studio, but must have overslept. The radio guys were calling him the MLS Hippie...don't know where that came from.
You know, I was hoping that some New England player would guarantee they'd win MLS Cup. Such guarantees have a good track record this year, starting with Steve Jolley's claim during the season that MetroStars would win the whole thing. Maybe he was talking about a weighted lottery?
That's exactly what the radio guys asked. They said if they were looking for statements like that, they would have interviewed Freddie Garcia. Kyle anwered, "You got a translator?", to which they shot back something to the affect of, "With answers like yours, it we wouldn't need one to improve the interview." It was pretty funny.
Re: Re: Kyle Martino: "I almost guarantee victory" I wonder if MLS doesn't test for weed like all other US professional leagues?
Wow, almost guaranteeing victory ... that's pretty close to what happened. Nice result in Foxboro. -Tron
I know. That's why I put a at the end of my post. I didn't take you for being a smack talking troll. Really.
maybe is martino had gotten some playing time, things would be different. im sure he wouldnt have had as many hospital balls as dunc.
maybe martino meant that cunny and mcbride would blow countless chances and the crew really shoulda won game one.
im glad our players arent like that. although he did say "almost" it still doesnt take away the rest. itd be too bad to see martino end up like jolley, because kyle is better, but after this........i dont know. good luck to you at home, cuz we have done pretty well there. cheers
if one of you guys can dig up Martino's pic from UVA it would definately explain the "mls hippie" thing. God Save The Hippies...
just goes to show what happens when u say u will win, never mind score a goal. see you in foxboro p.s. - why dont u guys just stay in foxboro to root us on as we beat LA? cheers
Yeah Fiero, you got it absolutely right. If someone says before the game that they will win they are destined for failure. That is the one and only reason the Crew lost. Great analysis.
when it comes down to it, im a fan of Columbusas well. I took out their name in my favorite teams list because im goin with my hometown team in this series. after this series is over, you will see "Crew" in my favorite teams list, no matter who wins. i just dont like the cockiness, as a player. when it comes to fans, ill be just as cocky as the next guy, but when i put on my cleats, i shut my mouth becasue actions speak louder than words. if a rev went and said that, i would be at our board talkin shiz about them for sayin it. i say let the match do the talking, and we'll see who is the better team. cya in the Big Razor! cheers, fiero
