That video sent chills down my spine. Ahh, the glorious memories. Makes me beam with pride.

 

Technically they didnt have 32 teams back in '66 so we'll have to say that N.Korea made it to the semi-quarters but yeah. I dont feel glorified at all that North Korea beat Italy in '66. It was us, the southies, that shoved Italy's defeat in '02. HOW's it feel, italy? LOL, muhaha.

 

I did, just not happy with that last game, sort of like eating the best meal you have had, and then finding that the chef forgot to put sugar in the dessert.

 

Why did they leave out the end line out-of-bounds call against Spain? That was a major highlight.

 

because then they would have had to add the "disallowed" goals Korea scored too.

plus all the actions taken after the whistle was blown.

..and the whiners too.

So that alone would have made the clip pretty long.

 

Everybody said that when West Germany and the East Germany unifies, they'll be the strongest footballing nation in the world.

well...it didn't happen. Plus, N.Korea now really isn't good.

I am, however, really hoping that they rise up.

 

Well Germany WAS footballing's greatest nation but they failed to manage their league. Look at the Bundesliga. It was crap and still is crap but its gettting better. Korea really needs to do something about the K-League.

 

I never really like Sumi Cho the opera singer but after watching the clip, I changed my mind.

I really like the "Champion" sang by her starting at around 5:35 of the clip.

Good stuff, I even went through the trouble of downloading it on a 56k modem. Good thing I took a nap while waiting for it.

It makes me feel proud (and jealous in a good way)to watch it. It make me feel proud as an Asian and I definitely agree, Korea, you are the pride of Asia.

However, does anyone know where to download the official hymn of the World Cup? I would even take the techno version that plays at the very very end of the video clip.

The techno version is titled "Vangelis - Anthem"

The official version of the anthem replaced the FIFA song that was played at every international matches.


I also loved Sumi Jo's World Cup opera song "Champions."

That song also come out in the clip and I think it worked very well with the clip..

The only bad part of the clip was that it had lyrics written on the clip. I guess that only serves Almovagar's interest in Clon's World Cup song lyrics which he so wanted to get.

 

Great clip! Being in Daejeon for the Italy game, and being part of the atmosphere there, was even more fantastic than seeing us beat Mexico the day before in Jeonju.
